The
Bio-Informatics facility in the School of Biotechnology, has been
established with the kind help of Department of Biotechnology,
Ministry of Science & Technology,
Govt. of India, with
the initial
seed money of Rs. 20.00 lacs for the purchase of computer hardware,
softwares and other essential infrastructure, required for the setting-up
of this
facility in the university
.
The centre is
equipped with state-of-art softwares and other infrastructure required
for advanced genomics and proteomics work. Additional staff trained in
bioinformatics is being recruited in the Centre to make it fully
functional for academics and research work.
The Centre has started its functioning from January 2008. |
