Verification of Documents

Q1. How much is the fee for academic verification of students of SMVDU?

Ans. Rupees Two Thousand per student per verification.

Q2. On which email ID we can send the academic verification request of students?

Q3. How can the verification fee be deposited at the University?

Ans. The verification fee can be paid by depositing the amount in the following account of the University:

After depositing the fee, the receipt/transaction details must be sent by email to examinationwing@smvdu.ac.in

Q4. How much time it will take for processing the verification case after depositing the fee?

Ans. Upon confirmation of the receipt of the verifying fee, the necessary verification shall be done and conveyed by the University at the earliest. This generally takes less than 02 working days.

Q5. Is it necessary to attach the document which is to be verified for processing academic verification request of students?

Ans. Yes. Please attach a copy of the document whose verification is to be done.

Degree Issuance

Q6. What is the procedure for getting the degree certificate?

Ans. For getting the Degree Certificate, you are required to complete the formalities. Please visit the below link and complete the requisite formalities.

Q7. What are the formalities for evaluation of degree by World Education Services(WES/IQAS/CES/ICES)/foreign universities.

Ans. You are required to send a handwritten application (through email) duly signed, and taking responsibility for sending the documents by post with respect to any loss or damage etc.

Also send the filled Academic Records Request Form of WES duly signed by you.

Further, you are also required to deposit the fee for issuance of Transcript
Rs. 500/- (per transcript) and postage charges as applicable outside India (that will be informed after confirming from post office) OR we will upload your documents on WES online portal directly.

Duplicate/Revised Documents

Q8. What are the charges for issuance/re-issuance of documents?

Q9. What is the procedure for correction in the documents.

Ans. Student is required to submit an application through Head of the concerned School along with matriculation certificate, original document (Gradesheet/Provisional Passing Certificate/Transcript/ Migration Certificate) in which correction is required and proof of payment of requisite fee (pl. see Q.8)

Q10. What is the procedure for issuing duplicate documents?

Ans. Students seeking issuance of duplicate document (except migration certificate) due to loss/damage shall make such request in a prescribed format along with the following documents and applicable fee.

a) Affidavit from Ist class magistrate on Rs.100/- stamp paper in a prescribed format.

b) Copy of FIR from Police Station of the area where certificate is lost.

c) Cutting of advertisement in a prescribed format published in newspaper (local) informing that the applicant is applying for issue of duplicate Grade Sheet/Transcript/Provisional Passing Certificate/Degree and objection (if any) to be communicated to Registrar SMVDU Katra within a period of one month.

d) Photocopy of lost Certificate, if available

General Queries

Q11. How can I get a medium of instruction and a backlog certificate?

Ans. You can apply online (via email) or by submitting application offline alongwith requisite charges (pl. see Q. 8)

Q12. What is the procedure to be followed for getting academic documents.

Ans.
a) For getting any academic document You are required to send a handwritten application (duly signed and scanned) through email, or by submitting application to your concerned department/school along with proof of payment of requisite fee.

b)For sending requisite certificate by post you are required to submit an application(duly signed and scanned) as an attachment confirming your postal address and assuming complete responsibility in case the document is lost/damaged etc. in transit and will not hold the University liable for the same. The scanned application along with the photo ID proof and proof of payment shall be sent by email to Examination wing for further processing.

Q13. Does University issue final semester marksheet/gradesheet?

Ans. No, instead of final semester gradesheet/marksheet university issues transcript to the passout students. The transcript contains all the information that is normally seen on a gradesheet.

Q14. What is the procedure for conversion of CGPA to Percentage certificate?

Ans. The general certificate for conversion of CGPA to Percentage has already uploaded on university website the link for the same is as follows: Click here to visit the link

However for issuance of CGPA Conversion to Percentage certificate to a particular student then he/she has to apply as per following procedure:
a) Send a handwritten application (duly signed and scanned) through email, or by submitting application to your concerned department/school.

b) For sending requisite certificate by post you are required to submit an application(duly signed and scanned) as an attachment confirming your postal address and assuming complete responsibility in case the document is lost/damaged etc. in transit and will not hold the University liable for the
same. The scanned application along with proof of payment of postal charges (Rs. 60/- ) shall be sent by email to Examination wing for further processing.

 

Q15. Does University issues Transfer Certificate?

Ans. SMVD University issues Migration Certificate to passout students which is equivalent to Transfer Certificate and University does not issue Transfer Certificate separately.

Q16. How much does the University charge for sending documents by post?

Ans.

  • For sending degree certificate anywhere in India postage charges are Rs.180/-.
  • For sending documents outside India Postage charges as applicable will be informed after confirming from post office.
  • For sending academic documents (excluding degree) anywhere in India postage charges are Rs. 60/-.
