Students from 23 States of the country live and study on the campus. Each students brings his/ her varied background to the university which acts as a melting pot and makes the students feel part of a large family, the "SMVDU Family"
This diversity among the students ensures maintenance of a cosmopolitan culture within the campus where each student respects the other's diversity. This makes the students become broad minded and open to accept other cultures.
The university has a very healthy gender ratio among the students with Male to Female ratio at 2:1, which is an extraordinarily healthy ratio for atechnical university.
