Prof. Eswaramoorthy Muthusamy, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra, J&K was the Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker in five days online Faculty Development Programme on Advances in Smart Materials for Sensor and Energy Applications held on 06th July 2020 hosted by Department of Physics , BMS Institute of Technology and Management Bengaluru. Dr MohanBapu G.N, Principal BMSITM has presided over the function.
Prof. Eswaramoorthy during the keynote address, enlightened the importance of smart materials on energy and sensor applications in terms of energy autonomy using direct energy harvesting technologies. He explained the basics, advances of various solar photovoltaic and thermoelectric hybrid systems along and further research possibilities to enhance the performance and decrease cost of the system to ensure the reliability of usage were highlighted.
His talk covered and discussed various topics on microscale of solar photovoltaic thermoelectric hybrid system with further research on the same domain and appreciated by participants during the question and answer session.
